Black Dog Amphitheater
September 2005: Casino seems dead for this year, but, like the stadium, I expect it to keep coming back in the future.
April 2005: More casino rumors, this time for the state operated casino.
April 2004: Now there are rumors that Burnsville is discussion a casino development with one of the northern Minnesota tribes. More specifics when I hear them.
January 2004: Now that the amphitheater doesn't seem very likely, Burnsville is shopping the McGowan property around for other uses. They submitted a response to the State's request for stadium proposals, but it wasn't deemed complete by the State.
August 2003: 2 big wins! We got a 100% win from the appeals court, and Burnsville has decided not to appeal their loss to the State Supreme Court. This means that an EIS will have to be done if the project is to continue, which is something we have wanted all along.
March 2003: The lawsuit filed by the city and the affected neighborhoods is currently being appealed to the Minnesota Court of Appeals. Initial briefs have been filed in the appeal, and arguments could be expected to happen sometime this summer, and perhaps a ruling yet in 2003.
